Ingredients

  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 bananas
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 graham cracker crust

Instructions

  1. Remove labels from the sweetened condensed milk cans and place them unopened in a Dutch oven.
  2. Fill the Dutch oven almost full with water and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Boil the cans uncovered for 3 hours, ensuring they remain covered with water by adding hot water as needed.
  4. Carefully remove the cans from the water and let them cool in the refrigerator.
  5. Open the cooled cans and slide out the caramelized milk into a mixing bowl.
  6. Slice the bananas and fold them into the caramelized milk mixture.
  7. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  8. Pour the mixture into the graham cracker crust and refrigerate until set.
