Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk, scalded
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 cups soft breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Combine milk and butter; stir until butter is melted.
  2. Cool to lukewarm.
  3. Combine eggs, sugar, salt, and cinnamon; beat at medium speed of electric mixer for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the milk mixture.
  5. Place breadcrumbs in a lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole; sprinkle with raisins.
  6. Add the milk and egg mixture over the breadcrumbs and raisins.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes or until set.
  8. Serve warm.
