Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs into yolks and whites.
  2. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a bowl, combine the egg yolks, flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and oil and mix until smooth.
  4. Fold the beaten egg whites into the batter gently.
  5. Pour the batter onto a preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
  6. Serve immediately. These waffles also make good Belgian waffles.
