Ingredients

  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 yeast cake
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. Crisco

Instructions

  1. Sift dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in Crisco.
  3. Add buttermilk and dissolved yeast to make a stiff dough.
  4. Make into biscuits and bake.
  5. Store remainder of dough in refrigerator until ready to use.
