Ingredients

  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 cup warm water into a large bowl.
  2. Add 2 packages of yeast to the warm water and heat 1 cup of water to boiling.
  3. Add 1 cup Crisco, 3/4 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt to the mixture.
  4. Add 2 eggs to the yeast mixture, then add the Crisco mixture.
  5. When the mixture is cool, add 6 cups of flour and stir well.
  6. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for 2 hours.
  7. Pat down the dough and put it in the fridge.
  8. Portion the dough into muffin tins to rise as needed.
  9. When placing rolls in muffin tins, let them rise for 1 hour, then bake at 375°F until brown.
