Ingredients

  • 6 squares chocolate
  • 1 lb confectioners' sugar
  • 1/3 cup hot water
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate over hot water.
  2. Place the melted chocolate in a small mixing bowl.
  3. Add the confectioners' sugar and hot water at the same time and beat until blended.
  4. Add the egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Add the margarine a little at a time, beating after each addition until smooth.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  7. Frost the layers of the cake with the frosting.
