Sweet, chewy peanut butter squares with a crunchy Rice Krispies base and a smooth, chocolaty butterscotch topping, perfect for satisfying dessert cravings or sharing at gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light Karo syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 small package butterscotch chips
  • 1 small package chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Bring the sugar and Karo to a boil; remove from heat and add peanut butter.
  2. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add Rice Krispies and stir until well coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Melt the butterscotch and chocolate chips in a double boiler.
  6. Spread the melted chips evenly over the pressed mixture.
  7. Let cool at room temperature until set and firm, then cut into squares.
