Ingredients

  • 48 oz. jar Great Northern beans
  • 2 large cooking apples, cubed
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt the butter.
  2. Add cubed apples and cook until tender.
  3. Add brown sugar and white sugar; stir and cook until the sugars are melted.
  4. Stir in cinnamon, catsup, molasses, and salt.
  5. Add the beans and mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into a 2-quart casserole.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes.
  8. Reduce the temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
