Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. butter, cut into chunks
  • 3/4 c. apple cider
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 450°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sifted all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Using a pastry blender, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in apple cider, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg until a soft dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
