Ingredients

  • 4 cups oatmeal
  • 1 (4 oz.) pkg. coconut
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup sesame seed
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 oz. pkg. dried apples, raisins or other dried fruit

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine oats, coconut, pecans, sesame seed, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. Stir in honey, vegetable oil, and vanilla; mix thoroughly. Divide mixture into two equal parts.
  3. Bake half of the oats mixture in a preheated 325°F (165°C) oven for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
  4. Stir in half of the dried fruit. Cool completely.
  5. Stir with a fork until crumbly.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining oats mixture.
  7. Serve with cold milk.
  8. Store in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.
