Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 3/4 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Place sliced apples in a cake pan and coat them with the sugar-flour-cinnamon mixture.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, oatmeal, 3/4 cup flour, and baking powder until crumbly.
  4. Spread the crumbly mixture over the apple layer.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until apples are soft and topping is golden, about 35 minutes.
