Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup powdered dairy creamer
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup oleo
  • 6 cups peeled apples, sliced 1/2-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine powdered dairy creamer, brown sugar, white sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  2. Mix well to combine.
  3. Sprinkle half of the mixture over the pastry crust.
  4. Cut oleo (butter) into the remaining mixture until crumbly.
  5. Set aside the crumbly mixture.
  6. Arrange peeled and sliced apples in overlapping rings in the prepared pastry.
  7. Sprinkle the apples with lemon juice.
  8. Top the apples with the crumbly mixture.
  9. Bake at 450°F for 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
