Ingredients

  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 quarts water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Minute tapioca
  • 2 quarts diced apples
  • 1 cup white or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Bring raisins and water to a boil.
  2. Mix tapioca and sugar.
  3. Add the tapioca mixture to the boiling water, stirring constantly.
  4. Boil for 3 to 5 minutes or until the tapioca is not quite clear.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Mix the remaining ingredients (diced apples, sugar, cinnamon) in a large buttered baking dish.
  7. Pour the tapioca mixture over the apples.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes or until the apples are soft.
