- Brown the sausage in a skillet until fully cooked.
- Pour pancake mix into a measuring cup and level off.
- In a small mixer bowl, blend pancake mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, milk, and egg at medium speed.
- Fold in chopped apples into the batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8 or 9-inch round baking dish.
- Arrange cooked sausage on top of the batter.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes, until golden and set.
- Serve hot with maple syrup.
