Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup pancake mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 sausage

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a skillet until fully cooked.
  2. Pour pancake mix into a measuring cup and level off.
  3. In a small mixer bowl, blend pancake mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, milk, and egg at medium speed.
  4. Fold in chopped apples into the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 8 or 9-inch round baking dish.
  6. Arrange cooked sausage on top of the batter.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes, until golden and set.
  8. Serve hot with maple syrup.
