Ingredients

  • 1 c. golden brown sugar, packed
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c. apricot jam

Instructions

  1. Beat brown sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Add in walnuts and flour.
  3. Pour half the batter into a 9-inch square pan. Spread half the apricot jam on top.
  4. Pour in the remaining batter.
  5. Cover with the remaining apricot jam.
  6. Bake at 325°F for about 45 to 50 minutes.
  7. Let cool.
  8. Cut into squares.
