Ingredients

  • 2 lb. top round steak
  • 1 c. tomato juice
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped parsley
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 pkg. wild rice
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Flatten the steak to a thin cut; season with flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook the wild rice according to package directions.
  3. Sauté chopped onions and parsley in butter; add tomato juice.
  4. Add the tomato sauce to the cooked rice and mix well.
  5. Spoon the rice mixture onto each rolled steak; roll and tie securely.
  6. Brown the rolled steaks in a casserole dish on the stovetop.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour until cooked through.
