Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup broken pecan pieces

Instructions

  1. Cook sugar and corn syrup until mixture thickens.
  2. Beat eggs, without separating, and slowly add hot syrup to eggs, beating constantly.
  3. Add butter, vanilla, and pecan pieces to the mixture.
  4. Pour into the unbaked pie crust.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes at 375°F.
