Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 c. cracker meal
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1 bay leaf, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • 1/8 tsp. marjoram
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground chuck, cracker meal, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, beaten eggs, catsup, crushed bay leaf, thyme, marjoram, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
