Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 stick melted margarine
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 5 to 7 slices bread
  • cinnamon
  • raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in a Pyrex dish.
  2. Mix eggs and sugar together.
  3. Add remaining ingredients: milk, evaporated milk, cinnamon, and raisins if desired.
  4. Whisk the mixture well until combined.
  5. Break bread slices into the melted margarine in the dish.
  6. Pour the egg and milk mixture over the bread.
  7. Sprinkle with raisins if desired.
  8. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon.
  9. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes at 375°F until set in the middle.
