Ingredients

  • 4-6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 1/2 cups diced potatoes, pared
  • 2 teaspoons instant chicken bouillon
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups frozen corn
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons flour

Instructions

  1. Saute bacon and chopped onion until cooked.
  2. Add water, diced potatoes, and chicken bouillon; bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  4. Stir in milk, corn, pepper, shredded cheddar, and flour; heat through until cheese melts and chowder thickens.
