Delicious bacon roll-ups combine crispy bacon with creamy cheese and soft bread, making a savory appetizer perfect for entertaining or casual snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb bacon
  • 1 loaf white bread
  • 8 oz whipped cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Remove the crust from each slice of bread.
  2. Spread a thin layer of whipped cream cheese on each slice.
  3. Cut each slice of bread into thirds.
  4. Cut a piece of raw bacon in thirds horizontally.
  5. Roll a piece of bread in a jelly roll fashion, then wrap a piece of bacon around it, securing with a toothpick.
  6. Repeat with the remaining bread, cream cheese, and bacon to make the desired number of roll-ups.
  7. Place the roll-ups on a cookie sheet and broil until browned, watching carefully as they can burn easily.
  8. Turn each roll-up to brown the other side.
  9. Serve hot.
