Ingredients

  • 15 strips of bacon
  • 30 small to medium mushrooms, stems removed
  • 1 cup sharp spreadable cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp minced onion
  • 2 Tbsp bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Cut the bacon strips in half and wrap each half around the perimeter of each mushroom cap to create a small cuff.
  2. Secure the bacon with a toothpick.
  3. Broil the mushrooms for 5 minutes or until the bacon becomes slightly crisp, then drain.
  4. Mix the cheese with minced onion and bread crumbs.
  5. Place a small mound of the cheese mixture inside each mushroom cap within the bacon cuff.
  6. Broil the stuffed mushrooms for an additional 3 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  7. Serve hot.
