Instructions

  1. Cook bacon until crisp, then crumble and set aside.
  2. In a pot, add beans, chopped Bermuda onion, chopped green bell pepper, brown sugar, garlic powder, and pork.
  3. Heat the mixture on low for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add most of the crumbled bacon to the heating mixture and stir.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, top with remaining bacon.
  6. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for approximately 30 minutes until heated through and slightly caramelized.
