Ingredients

  • 16 oz. pork and beans (cans)
  • 1/3 cup bottled barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup golden raisins
  • 1/3 cup tart Granny Smith apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 8 bacon strips

Instructions

  1. Drain the pork and beans from the cans.
  2. Place the beans into an ovenproof bowl.
  3. Chop the onion and Granny Smith apples.
  4. Add the chopped onion and apples to the beans.
  5. Mix in the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and raisins.
  6. Lay the bacon strips on top of the bean mixture.
  7. Cover and bake in a preheated grill at 350°F for 1 to 1.5 hours.
