Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. rice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Cut up cabbage into medium pieces and spread on the bottom of the pan.
  3. Brown the ground chuck and chopped onion.
  4. Stir in the rice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spoon the meat mixture over the cabbage.
  6. Heat the tomato soup and water to boiling.
  7. Pour the soup mixture over the meat and cabbage.
  8. Cover the pan with foil.
  9. Bake in the oven at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
