Ingredients

  • 7 oz. round Gouda
  • 8 oz. can crescent rolls
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Cut the cheese round in half crosswise to form two circles; remove wax.
  2. Separate the crescent roll dough into four rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal.
  3. Layer two rectangles by placing one on top of the other; repeat with remaining rectangles.
  4. Press each combined rectangle into a 6-inch square and place a cheese circle in the center of each.
  5. Pull the corners of the dough to the top center of the cheese and press tightly to seal, twisting off any excess dough.
  6. Brush each with beaten egg.
  7. Place the wrapped cheese on an ungreased cookie sheet, 3 inches apart.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
