Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup corn meal
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased 10 x 6 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Remove from oven and brush margarine on top before serving.
