Ingredients

  • 3 lb chicken pieces
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 orange, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice

Instructions

  1. Brown chicken in a skillet in margarine.
  2. Place chicken in a baking dish and top with orange slices.
  3. In the same skillet, blend flour, salt, cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons of drippings.
  4. Gradually stir in orange juice and heat to boiling, stirring until the mixture is thickened.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken and orange slices.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 to 60 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
