Tips & Substitutions

You can also use crushed crackers or panko instead of bread crumbs for extra crunch. Make sure to slice the squash evenly for consistent cooking.

Serving Suggestions

This baked yellow crookneck squash dish pairs wonderfully with a fresh garden salad or crusty bread. Consider serving it alongside grilled chicken or fish for a complete meal. It also makes an excellent side dish for holiday gatherings or potlucks, complementing recipes like Patti'S Penny Potatoes beautifully.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in the oven at 350°F until warmed through, about 20 minutes. You can also microwave individual portions, but the oven will maintain the crispy topping better.
