Ingredients

  • 3 c. dry oatmeal
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix oatmeal and peanut butter; set aside.
  2. Combine sugar, butter or margarine, cocoa, milk, and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Mix the hot mixture with the oatmeal and peanut butter mixture.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto greased waxed paper and let cool until hardened.
  6. Remove from paper and store.
