Balinese Prawns
Ingredients
- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and cooked
- 1/2 cup ketchup ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons lime juice ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon sambal oelek (chile garlic sauce) ⓘ
- 3 green onions, finely chopped ⓘ
- 6 large basil leaves, finely chopped ⓘ
- 2 avocados, cut in half lengthwise, seeds removed ⓘ
- 1 lemon, cut into 8 wedges ⓘ
Instructions
- In a blender, combine ketchup, lemon juice, Worchestershire sauce, sambal ulek, green onions and basil leaves. Puree until well blended.
- Pour into mixing bowl and add shrimp. Stir well to coat. Cover and chill.
- Spoon shrimp cocktail into cold avocado halves. Garnish with lemon wedges. Serve well chilled.
