Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 can Pet milk
  • 1 1/2 cans water
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Banana
  • Vanilla wafers
  • 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, milk, water, and egg yolks together in a saucepan.
  2. Save three egg whites for topping.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then add the cornstarch mixed with a little extra water.
  4. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add vanilla to the pudding and stir.
  6. Layer sliced bananas and vanilla wafers in a serving dish.
  7. Pour the pudding over the layers.
  8. Whip the reserved egg whites and spread on top as a meringue.
  9. Chill before serving.
