Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/4 cup sour milk
  • 1 cup mashed banana
  • walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 sticks of butter and 1/2 cup of water to a boil.
  2. Add 2 cups of sugar, 2 cups of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of soda, 1/4 cup of sour milk, and 1 cup of mashed banana to the mixture.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  6. Cool before frosting or serving.
