- Peel bananas and cut in half lengthwise.
- Slice bananas or plantains lengthwise.
- Melt margarine in a skillet on low heat.
- Add brown sugar and stir until melted.
- Add bananas or plantains to the skillet.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste.
- Cover and cook slowly for 5 minutes.
- Turn over and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
- Serve warm.
