Ingredients

  • 1/2 pkg. (18.5 oz.) yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Grease the bottom only of an 8 or 9-inch round baking dish.
  2. Prepare the yellow cake mix for a single layer as directed on the package.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. Microwave on Roast or Level 7 (Bake), uncovered, for 6 to 7 minutes, turning the dish one-half turn after 3 minutes.
  5. Microwave until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cake completely before topping.
  7. Top with sliced bananas, toasted coconut, chopped nuts, melted margarine, and brown sugar as desired.
