Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fish fillets
  • 5 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In 2 tablespoons of butter, sauté the diced onion until softened, then remove from pan.
  2. Add the remaining butter and brown the fish fillets in the same pan.
  3. Spread the sautéed onions over the fish and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine 1/4 cup water with the prepared mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and sugar to make the sauce.
  5. Pour the sauce over the fish and onions, then simmer for about 20 minutes until cooked through.
