Ingredients

  • 10 lb. spareribs, parboiled and separated
  • 12 oz. vegetable juice cocktail
  • 1 c. chili sauce
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. prepared yellow mustard
  • 1/4 c. corn oil
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and cook uncovered for 5 to 6 minutes.
  2. Dip the parboiled ribs into the sauce and grill or roast for 40 to 45 minutes, basting often and turning to brown evenly until tender.
