Bean Cheese Pie

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onion
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. Spray pie plate with cooking spray.
  3. Mix flour, 1/2 cup cheese, the baking powder and salt in medium bowl.
  4. Stir in milk and egg until blended.
  5. Spread over bottom and up side of pie plate.
  6. Mix remaining ingredients except 1/2 cup cheese.
  7. Spoon into pie plate and sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese.
  8. Bake uncovered about 25 minutes.
  9. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
