Ingredients

  • 16 oz. can pork and beans, slightly drained
  • 16 oz. can pork and beans, slightly drained
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef with chopped celery, chopped bell pepper, and garlic if desired.
  2. Drain off excess fat; add tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. In a large casserole dish, combine the pork and beans, beef mixture, brown sugar, vinegar, and dry mustard.
  4. Mix well and bake at 350°F for 20 to 30 minutes.
