Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb beef roast
  • water
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • broth from roast

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in a roaster and cover with water.
  2. Bake until the beef is tender.
  3. Pour off the broth and refrigerate until the grease separates.
  4. Discard the grease from the broth.
  5. Allow the roast to cool, then shred with a fork, removing any fat or bones.
  6. Add clear broth, cream of mushroom soup, and dry onion soup mix to the shredded beef and mix well.
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour or longer if desired, using a crock-pot if preferred.
