Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 1/2 cups canned tomatoes
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet.
  2. Add canned tomatoes, chopped green pepper, chopped onion, and uncooked rice to the beef.
  3. Season with basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
  5. Top with slices of cheese before serving.
