Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb beef livers
  • 4 Tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp granulated bouillon
  • 1 Tbsp minced green onions
  • oregano

Instructions

  1. Dredge beef liver in 3 tablespoons of flour.
  2. Sauté the onion slices in hot shortening for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the liver and brown gently.
  4. Remove the onion and liver to a warm plate.
  5. Add remaining flour to the drippings.
  6. Stir in all other ingredients except green onions until the sauce is thick and smooth.
  7. Return liver and onion to the pot and simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with green onion garnish.
