Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. beef sirloin strips
  • 2 c. hot cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Shake flour in a 14 x 20-inch oven bag. Place the bag in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  3. Add undrained tomatoes, onion soup mix, water, and pepper to the bag.
  4. Squeeze the bag to blend the ingredients.
  5. Add beef sirloin strips to the bag.
  6. Turn the bag to coat the beef with the sauce. Arrange ingredients in an even layer.
  7. Close and tie the bag.
  8. Cut 6 slits in the top of the bag.
  9. Bake until the beef is tender, about 40 to 45 minutes.
  10. Serve over hot cooked rice.
