Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef ⓘ
- 4 small green onions ⓘ
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard ⓘ
- 1 can (about 15 oz.) cream-style corn ⓘ
- 1/2 cup canned tomato sauce ⓘ
- 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
- 6 hamburger buns ⓘ
- 3 large tomatoes ⓘ
Instructions
- Cook crumbled beef, chopped green onions, and green pepper in cooking oil until browned, stirring frequently.
- Add salt, pepper, dry mustard, cream-style corn, and tomato sauce; simmer about 5 minutes.
- Add grated Cheddar cheese and heat until it melts.
- Toast hamburger buns and place one open bun on each plate.
- Put a slice of tomato on each half of the buns.
- Spoon the cheese-burger mixture over each prepared bun and serve.
