Instructions
- Combine bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Dip steak in beaten egg, then in bread crumb mixture.
- Brown steak in vegetable oil.
- Remove from skillet and place in a lightly greased baking dish.
- Add chopped onion to pan drippings and sauté until done.
- Add tomato paste, water, oregano, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.
- Cook uncovered for 5 minutes, then pour sauce over steak.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 50 minutes.
- Remove from oven, top with cheese, and bake until cheese melts.
