Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chuck steak
  • 2 Tbsp. soft butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 large lemon, sliced
  • 2 medium onions, diced
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. water

Instructions

  1. Wipe the steak with a damp cloth.
  2. Place the steak in a baking dish.
  3. Rub the steak with soft butter and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover the steak with lemon slices and onion dices.
  5. Combine ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and water, then pour over the steak.
  6. Cover the baking dish tightly to steam and tenderize the meat.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 2 hours or until the meat is tender.
