Beef Strips, Pepper Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef strips
  • 3 tablespoon homemade yeast water or sake
  • 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 onion
  • 4 colored peppers (small)
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp soy-sauce
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Marinade all the ingredients together into a Ziploc bag and keep in the fridge for few hours.
  2. Chop onion and bell peppers into bite size pieces.
  3. (By the way, red & green peppers are from my garden!)
  4. Take out beef strips from Ziploc bag, add flour and mix.
  5. (I'm using whole wheat flour.)
  6. Heat the coconut oil in a frying pan.
  7. Add chopped onions and color peppers and fry for about 1-2 minutes.
  8. Add salt.
  9. Add black pepper.
  10. (I'm using mixed pepper corns.)
  11. Add beef strips and fry few more minutes.
  12. Add remaining marinade sauce.
  13. (Yes, don't throw it away!
  14. You need this.)
  15. Add a little soy-sauce.
  16. Add a little sesame oil.
  17. Turn it off the heat, serve and enjoy!
