Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. cornmeal
  • 1 tsp. red pepper
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. cumin
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients well.
  2. Place heaping tablespoonful of mixture on a 5-inch wide piece of foil, shaping with wet hands.
  3. Roll about 3 times and twist ends to enclose the filling.
  4. Boil the wrapped tamales for 15 minutes.
