Beets Polynesian

Ingredients

  • 2 (16 oz.) cans sliced beets, drained
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, flour and salt; stir in vinegar and 3/4 cup water.
  2. Add the undrained pineapple, raisins and butter or margarine.
  3. Cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly.
  4. Stir in drained beets.
  5. Heat through.
  6. Makes 10 servings.
