Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) can chunk pineapple in its own juice
  • 2 cans (1 lb. each) small whole beets
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat the juice from the pineapple and beets until warm.
  2. Thicken the juice with cornstarch, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  3. Add vinegar, salt, pineapple chunks, beets, and sugar (if pineapple is in its own juice).
  4. Heat thoroughly until well combined and heated through.
